Why choose Kwantu.
Do you build the homes you sell?
Some of them. Kwantu Homes is an NHBRC-registered developer and we build our own developments across Gauteng. We also sell homes in developments built by other developers we have checked out ourselves. Every listing and every development page says which is which, so you always know who built the home you are looking at.
What does it cost me to work with you?
Nothing. The seller or the developer pays our fee, so nothing is added to your price for using us. That is true whether the home is one of ours or somebody else's.
Do I need a deposit?
Often not. Many first-time buyers qualify for a 100% bond, and on a new development there is no transfer duty to find either. A deposit still helps, because it lowers the monthly repayment and can earn you a better rate, but it is not always a requirement.
How long does the whole process take?
Pre-approval takes minutes. From accepted offer to keys is usually about three months on an existing property, and on a new build it depends on the construction programme. We tell you the honest timeline for the specific home rather than a general one.
What areas do you cover?
The East Rand (Boksburg, Benoni, Nigel, Springs) and Randburg at the moment, and we add areas as stock comes online there. If you are looking somewhere we do not currently cover, tell us anyway. We would rather say we cannot help than waste your time.
What happens if something is wrong after I move in?
On a home we built, you are talking to the people who built it, and the NHBRC structural warranty applies. On a home built by another developer, their warranty and their aftercare apply, and we will help you get to the right person rather than leaving you to chase it.
